Our Services

We believe that Effective Interventions are highly individualized, based upon scientifically proven strategies and use motivation to create a fun and engaging environment. No two children have exactly the same skills or learning style. That’s why we create an individual learning plan for every child based on their skills and their environment. Your child's plan will combine direct instruction, parent training, and natural environment teaching in an effective way that will help your child learn.

We can create a treatment plan to fit your individual needs, whether that means focusing on one skill like potty training or healthy eating or a more comprehensive plan to increase communication and decrease problem behavior. Consultation services vary according to each family's need but typically consist of meeting to gather background information and reasons for initiating services, observation of child, consultant modeling interventions, and real time feedback to parents implementing interventions.

Direct Intervention-Community

Services are often provided at school, camp, or daycare. We are happy to work with anyone who teaches or cares for your child. Natural settings are valuable environments for providing services because social interactions and group instruction skills can be targeted. In addition, children are more likely to use the skills in the setting they learn them. In community settings we typically work one-on-one with the child and direct our treatment plans based on feedback from caregivers. The child's goals and progress will be reviewed with parents regularly to ensure generalization across all settings.

Direct Intervention-Home

We start with teaching parents our evidence based strategies and quickly move to sessions focused on working with the child. The majority of treatment plans will focus on working with the child. A portion of sessions each month will focus on modeling skill acquisition strategies and problem behavior reduction strategies followed by parent implementation.

Classroom Consultation
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst will work with teachers onsite to increase the speed and acquisition of IEP goals, expand communication, or decrease disruptive behavior in pull out or inclusive settings. Classroom consultation can be tailored to focus on individual students or classroom management strategies. Some areas we focus on are increasing student engagement, decreasing off-task behavior, and shaping self-management skills.

Teacher Classroom or School-wide Training

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst will present evidence-based strategies for increasing classroom management. This workshop is for all levels of teachers and strategies will be presented for all levels of learners. Teachers will learn new strategies for motivating students, keeping students engaged and shaping self-management skills. All participants will come away with new ideas for increasing participation and decreasing classroom distractions. In addition, teachers will learn how to determine the function of problem behaviors and how to develop interventions that will be effective in decreasing these behaviors. Trainings can be focused on specific skills and tailored to your school's needs!
